Choreography I

Please print fill out a MICCA Score sheet  with one column for each piece (so "selection 1" is all of Choreography). Then write three short paragraphs on the back of the score sheet; one about each of the following things:

1. What has improved the most in Choreography?  Which category on the rubric still needs the most improvment?

2. Which category did you give the lowest rating to in the Mozart? What slow work can you do over vacation week to personally improve.

3. We've worked a lot on small gestures in the Creston (articulations, small phrasing, specific intonation). Did you feel these elements came across in the recording? If so, what other musical details can we add to make the piece more effective? If not, what were you most surprised by and what can you do in your small groups or personal practice to amplify the effect?

Your critique is due by Tuesday, 2/25 at 9am. We don't have class that day but you can leave your score sheet on my desk. Though I think it would benifit you greatly to listen to the recordings and critique them now- to allow for incorporation of your ideas into your practice, I will keep my promise of not giving you "homework" that you absolutely have to do during your vacation.
